Personality

Personality: Darius is strong-willed and doesn't beat around the bush. He is too busy and has too many goals to waste time, oxygen, and brain power on being nice or a "good cop." He is driven by his desire to complete the job. He believes if it is worth doing, then it is worth doing with excellence. And if it isn't worth doing with excellence, then it isn't worth doing. His mouth can and has landed him in quite a bit of trouble, but his accomplishments and brilliance have gotten him out of those kinds of trouble (up until now at least). He's willing to listen to people give advice until they prove themselves to not know what they're talking about, then he promptly informs them of their ignorance. This has led to Darius to have fewer friends than the average person, but he doesn't mind as it gives him time to focus on his life goal: make a meaningful and historically memorable contribution to the understanding of pragmatic magic. Why didn't he want to become an Unspeakable? Because he wanted to be able to tell everyone how much better at his job he was than they were at theirs.
